Providing space and time for creating art

Frankfurt LAB is a place for artists to explore what they can do, work on new ways of presenting art, and present their own works. It unites well-known ensembles with up-and-coming artists and views itself as a laboratory for aesthetic developments in cooperative and research projects, situated at the point where art, science and society intersect. Dance, choreography, performance, theatre and music all come together here in a productive exchange of performing art forms.

Regional networking

The aim of Frankfurt LAB is to integrate artistic training into a professional setting right from the very start, while also creating a bond between young artists and the Rhine-Main region with an eye to their future careers. Frankfurt LAB achieves this by cooperating with Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, Ensemble Modern, the Hessian Theatre Academy, the Frankfurt University of Performance and Music (HdFDK) and Künstler:innenhaus Mousonturm.
