ADVICE CENTRE FOR TEENAGERS
SAFE IM RECHT (SAFE IN LAW)
Cyber-bullying, hate speech, cyber-grooming – 70 percent of all young people have already faced digital violence. But they know very little about their rights, especially in the digital world. That’s why Frankfurt’s Child Protection Association set up its Safe im Recht advice centre in 2022 to focus on digital violence in particular.
For whom?
Children and teenagers
Aim
Legal and psychological assistance in cases of digital violence

Advice on digital violence
Safe im Recht provides legal advice and psychological support with respect to all kinds of digital violence. Problems such as online bullying and digital rage are particularly widespread among young people. Safe im Recht comes to the help, not only when they want to defend themselves against attack or the misuse of their files or images, but also if they have themselves become the perpetrator. The consultation process is free of charge, confidential and judgement-free.
Know your rights!
Any young person can get in touch with Safe im Recht about other matters too – for instance, issues about child custody and financial maintenance or problems with the police, with criminal charges or with school and employers. The Safe im Recht team includes experienced lawyers and psychologists. In addition to individual counselling, Safe im Recht also conducts info sessions at schools, associations and other youth institutions.
